Pastors Eesuola and Oladimeji joined the conference later on and followed by Sandra O’Connor. We sang the Hymn – Lift the Saviour up, led by Elders Mass Choir.

The RCCG UK National Coordinator Pastor (Dr) Adeniyi Faboya delivered the Keynote Address on the Conference Theme, The Diligent Elders. In it, he defined what diligent means assteadfast application, great and constant attention together with persevering determination to perform a task; the virtue of hard work.He further said thatto be diligent is to carry out a task with care and perseverance and perseverance brings success.

He then educated us that the diligent elder is therefore that elder who performs his roles, expectations and duties in the manner that such roles and duties will pass the test of diligence. What diligent is as in the scripture was further explained.

The National Coordinator, after his speech, informed the congregation of Pastor Israel Abatan’s birthday on the day of the conference. This was joyfully celebrated with the birthday cake.

Pastor Abatan then gave the exhortation titled God Ordered the Steps of the Righteous.

He started by delivering the General Overseer’s massage of love for us while he promised to give a good report of RCCG UK National Elders to the G. O. He then prayed for UK Elders.

In his exhortation, Pastor Abatan stated that God started diligence with the Elders and this diligence He expects from us right from when we are born. Proverb 22:28 says “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set”. In Exodus 18:7-8, Moses went out to meet his father-law. The advice Jethro gave Moses was the beginning of Elders’ duties and responsibility on the congregation.

Moses had stories to tell his father-law about what happened in Egypt. The in-law rejoiced. Any time there is glorious thing happening, there will be an elder there. Stay faithful with the Holy Spirit, and anointing will come to you. Moses’ in-law advised Moses against wearing out. That counsel is the genesis of the institution of elders in the Scripture. Here he called elders rulers.                   1 Timothy 5:17 says, “Let elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour”. God instituted it in the life of Jethro especially those who labour in the word and doctrine. That again is diligent. He extolled us to appreciate God’s ministry in our life.

In James 5:13, it says “Is any amoung you suffering, pray, sing cheerful songs, is any among you sick, call elders – diligent elders are anointed elders. Do not forget your ministry, be ye perfect, be ye holy.

Titus 1:4-5 wants us to set in order things that are lacking – appoint elders in all cities.

Our spiritual children will come for counsel, are we ready?

He ended the exhortation with prayer that God shall make us relevant as a diligent elder. We will not fail God by His grace.

Elder Busola Ladega ministered the Thanksgiving Offering using Mathew 26:6.

Intercessory Prayer was led by Pastor Francis Oladimeji who also prayed on the offering.  The break then followed.

Educational Talk Session started after the break with Sandra O’Connor on Back Pain and it’s management.

According to her, this is essential to everything and is 20th century medical disaster. The basic fact is that it cannot be cured. 95% of this is Mechanical Back Pain.

She talked on Basis Anatomy, Types of back pain, Causes of back pain and Management of back pain. The full text of her speech is as contained in the Special Elders’ Conference Bulletin to be published soon.

Educational talk was rounded up by Pastor Bayo Eesuola speech on “The Diligent God’s Fellow Worker (in Building Homes).

He informed us that the Lord our God who instituted marriage wants families to be healthy, prosperous and firmly rooted as an inseparable entity. As elders; God expects us to play our parts in ensuring that homes, within our spheres of influence, are what He intends them to be. May the Lord continue to grant us the grace, good health and prosperous long life as we play our roles well.

Opening Texts:1 Corinthians 3:9

For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. (NKJV)

A. Some of the ways to do it:

1. Promote Godly principles not cultural beliefs.

 - Tell the young ones to be careful in placing culture above God’s word.

- Ungodly aspects of culture should be thrown off - disrespecting him; treating her like a house maid.

- We are ambassadors. Our citizenship is in heaven.

2. Promote oneness.

- Enhance their togetherness, cut the umbilical cord. Let them know that clinging to relatives/friends than husband or wife is ungodly.

Gen. 2:24, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

Encourage them to embrace financial oneness, not allowing selfish interest to override Biblical principles.

3. Bequeath to them Godly Legacy.

- Like Lois (grand mum) and Eunice (mum) did to Timothy. 2 Timothy 1:4-5

- Be a pillar of support to them in prayers

- Be an example of the believers to them in every

B. You will be honoured.

He instructed that double honour should be for you

1Timothy 5:17, "Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine."

Conclusion:

Beloved sirs and mas, let us all remain conscious of the fact that we are God’s fellow workers and ambassadors for Christ; so we must cooperate and work with Him so as to fulfil our purpose in life. May we all enjoy all-round prosperity IJMN!

He concluded by praying for the congregation.

Announcement was made by the National Coordinator while vote of thanks was delivered by Kayode Eniraiyetan.

We prayed the closing prayer and take away refreshment was given to the participants to round up the conference.
